Clayground at Making in Transit 16 February 1830

Join us on 16 February 2017 at 1830 for a free talk and Clayground workshop.  Clay Mineralogy Researcher, Javier Cuadros, will speak about his latest research findings; a speaker from the Petrie Museum will speak about clay in antiquity and Clayground Collective will lead a clay workshop.  Javier is a long-time adviser to Clayground, read his latest article for Clayground here.

Making in Transit includes an exhibition of works created by artist Jennifer Crouch in response to her voyage to the remote archipelago of Svalbard as member of the Arctic Circle Residency, Autumn expedition, 2016.  Jennifer has also curated a series of FREE events relating to making, mapping and how we respond to our environment.  The events include talks and creative workshops from artists, scientists and academics working in fields as varied as climate science, polar science, the anthropology of design, atmospheric physics, seafaring, policy making, artificial intelligence and ethics.
