This year’s Thames Foreshore walk dates: new locations and topics
Dear Clay Appreciator,
We have studied the tide tables and have pleasure in announcing the dates of this year’s Clayground Foreshore Walks. As usual, they will be led by the amazing Mike Webber, specialist Thames archaeologist. We shall be leading one Roman walk and two on the London Delftware potters. We are offering two new walks this year. The first, in June, is a walk on Westminster Beach with a focus on the development of the Lambeth potteries on the opposite bank and the historic role of ceramic industrialist, Henry Doulton, in shaping London and its drainage infrastructure. The second is an evening walk in Wapping with a focus on London’s international trading history.

Wapping International Trade – now fully booked. Waitlist in operation.
Saturday July 15th meet at 1700 (note evening meet up)
